This lecture presentation will provide attendees with evidence-based research and case studies regarding the role of diet culture: a set of beliefs that idealizes and prioritizes body shape, food, and diet, and equates it with moral virtue, health, and worthiness.  We will look at what happens if our obsession with dieting goes too far, impacts on our physiology and possible solutions to create normalized, balanced eating.  This presentation will include interactive question and answer, handouts, and a short intuitive eating exercise.
