Are you interested in taking your skillset as a clinician to the next level?  Or perhaps you are interested in opening up new career paths in the areas of academia and research?  There are numerous avenues available to the practicing PT’s to advance their education and career following their entry-level PT training however information on why you might pursue post-professional education as well as how to choose the right program is very difficult to find.  The major goal of this educational session is to discuss the cost, benefits, and impact of pursuing residency, fellowship, or PhD training on your career as a PT.  Additionally, we will discuss key differences and questions you should be considering when choosing the right program and mentor for you as well as how to make your application more competitive.
